Digital

Our Digital Cluster delivers advanced, smart, and innovative digital solutions catering to trade and logistics stakeholders. Our solutions have increased the efficiency and productivity of maritime business interactions, fostering transparency and access to real-time information.

Digitalising Trade

Established in 2016, Maqta Gateway - a wholly owned subsidiary of AD Ports Group - is a facilitator of technologically advanced and innovative solutions designed to enable integrated digital global trade.

In supporting AD Ports Group’s digitalisation strategy, Maqta Gateway is spearheading the digital mandate of Abu Dhabi’s maritime, trade, and logistics services.

The Advanced Trade & Logistics Platform (ATLP) is an innovative single-window solution designed to unify trade and logistics services across Abu Dhabi, including sea, land, air, industrial and free zones. ATLP is developed and operated by Maqta Gateway, under the supervision of the Department of Economic Development.

As a founding partner of the Abu Dhabi-led HOPE Consortium, Maqta Gateway is leveraging its digital technology and supply-chain expertise to facilitate the emirate’s drive to deliver large quantities of COVID-19 vaccines around the world.

Industrial Cities & Free Zone

The Industrial Cities & Free Zone Cluster, part of AD Ports Group oversees the operations of Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), the largest integrated trade, logistics, and industrial hub in the region, and ZonesCorp, the largest operator of purpose-built economic zones and workers residential cities in the United Arab Emirates.

Abu Dhabi’s integrated trade, logistics and industrial hub. Established in 2010 and operational since 2012, Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD) is a subsidiary of AD Ports Group, strategically located between Abu Dhabi and Dubai - with the deep-water Khalifa Port as its maritime gateway - KIZAD is Abu Dhabi’s integrated trade, logistics and industrial hub.

The largest operator of purpose-built economic zones and workers residential cities in United Arab Emirates. ZonesCorp, an AD Ports Group company, is responsible for planning, developing, and managing specialised fully integrated economic zones for investors within the emirate of Abu Dhabi. Through its nine integrated economic zones that cover a total area of more than 140 square kilometres in the cities of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, ZonesCorp is shaping the future of Abu Dhabi’s industrial landscape. ZonesCorp currently houses more than 650 manufacturing facilities and is home to some of the world’s leading industrial players across various sectors.

Established in 2021, KIZAD Communities Development & Services Company (KIZAD Communities) is an integrated employees accommodation solutions provider. KIZAD Communities main goal is to establish innovative partnerships with international, government, and private companies while championing staff well-being across the full value chain. Through KIZAD Communities, AD Ports Group will offer integrated services to companies from different sectors to accommodate their staff and introduce exclusive options with unique sale propositions across the UAE and GCC region. KIZAD Communities provides valuable insights from in-depth market intelligence captured from collaboration with local and international entities across 40 cities under AD Ports Group, covering the full development cycle: from planning, designing, construction to operation management.

Logistics

AD Ports Group Logistics Cluster provides supply chain and freight solutions to local and international customers. In 2020, AD Ports Group acquired MICCO to provide end-to-end solutions to our customers. With this acquisition, we now have a fleet of 400+ vehicles that move over 4.9 million tonnes of goods across 42.7 million kilometres each year.

Established in 2018 to handle the expanded scope of logistics, AD Ports Logistics is driving integrated end-to-end solutions. AD Ports Logistics is implementing the latest technologies to boost supply chain resilience and efficiency through integrated logistics solutions with digital enablement. AD Ports Logistics is growing regionally and internationally and is central to supporting the Abu Dhabi-led HOPE Consortium, leveraging its logistics supply-chain expertise to facilitate the emirate’s drive to deliver large quantities of COVID-19 vaccines around the world.

AD Ports Group’s acquisition of MICCO Logistics in 2020 expanded the group's portfolio into freight forwarding services. The MICCO Logistics integration as part of AD Ports Group Logistics Cluster leverages MICCO experience and capabilities as Abu Dhabi’s first provider of end-to-end logistics solutions. The powerful combination of MICCO’s international and regional logistics solutions, its large and diversified transportation fleet, and a network of temperature-controlled warehouses, along with the Group’s extensive multi cargo handling and industrial zone capacity, Abu Dhabi Ports is in a unique position to serve its customers along every segment of the supply chain.

Maritime

AD Ports Group Maritime Cluster includes SAFEEN Group, Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy, Abu Dhabi Maritime, the custodian and regulator of Abu Dhabi’s waterways, and SAFEEN Feeders.

One-stop destination for marine services in the UAE and region.

SAFEEN Group comprises SAFEEN Marine Services, OFCO and Transshipment. SAFEEN Marine Services includes Port Services, Navigation and Fleet Maintenance Services alongside ancillary quayside services to calling vessels across all ports. This covers VTS, pilotage, towage, ferry management, oil spill response, and mooring. SAFEEN’s fleet is designed to assist a diverse range of vessels in and out of the port. Its fleet of harbour tugs host bollard pulls from 28 to 75 tonnes with the capacity to tow vessels up to 150,00 DWT and LOA greater than 400 metres. The fleet also boasts several pilot boats and speedboats, buoy and survey maintenance vessels, and oil spill response boats.

International offshore maritime logistics and support services.

SAFEEN and Allianz Marine & Logistics (AMLS) came together to form Offshore Support and Logistics Services Company (OFCO), a new international provider of integrated maritime logistics solutions and subsea services. It specialises in providing offshore services to the oil, gas, and construction industries in the UAE through a world-class fleet. Its comprehensive portfolio of services covers: marine vessels, integrated offshore support and logistics, subsea services, and emergency response.

Safe & sustainable waters for Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi Maritime was established in May 2020, via an agreement between AD Ports Group and the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), to be the primary custodian of all of Abu Dhabi waters and to deliver on Plan Maritime (Abu Dhabi Coastal and Marine Framework Plan), for the development of integrated coastal zone management and to continue the Emirate’s journey of growth as a major global maritime hub. Abu Dhabi Maritime has been assigned the regulatory and strategic oversight to govern and manage the Emirate's waterways and maritime sector, providing a world-leading maritime infrastructure for the people and businesses of Abu Dhabi.

Developing the next generation of industry leaders

AD Ports Group established Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy (ADMA) in 2018 to advance the maritime industry in UAE and the region through world-class education and training. ADMA plays a crucial role in providing maritime training for undergraduates and working professionals, supporting Abu Dhabi Maritime’s plan to elevate Abu Dhabi into a global maritime hub. The Academy provides courses for the next generation of maritime industry leaders in the UAE and the region.

Ports

The Ports Cluster, part of AD Ports Group, owns and operates 11 ports and terminals in the UAE and Guinea facilitating trade and building capacity whilst connecting Abu Dhabi globally. The cluster is focused on achieving sustainable growth, forging partnerships with local and global market leaders, which include but not limited to e ADNOC, COSCO SHIPPING Ports, CMA CGM Group, MSC Shipping, and Autoterminal Barcelona, with the goal of diversifying and expanding capacity to meet the growing and diverse needs of customers while solidifying Abu Dhabi as a global trade and logistics hub.

Our 11 ports offer a wide range of commercial and leisure services. We have integrated several innovative and efficient technologies into our port operations, thus making them some of the region’s most sustainable and technologically advanced ports.

Strategically situated midway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai and offering 25 major shipping lines direct links to over 70 international destinations, Khalifa Port is an 18.5m deep-water multipurpose port that includes two container terminals and a Ro-Ro terminal fully integrated with Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), providing a gateway to international markets via multi modal connectivity including future rail.

Strategic access to global markets.

Fujairah Terminals was established in 2017, subsequent to a 35-year concession agreement between AD Ports Group and Fujairah Port. Since then, it has remained the only multi-purpose port on the UAE’s eastern seaboard and is a key economic, commercial and logistics hub within the region. In 2021, works were completed to handle further capacity and accommodate vessels with capacities of up to 9,000 TEUs.

A world-class cruise hub.

Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminals is the first dedicated permanent cruise infrastructure in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, offering the ultimate destination for international cruise lines and passengers, with world-class terminal operations and services. In 2020, AD Ports Group established Marsa Mina, the city’s new waterfront lifestyle destination, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal at Zayed Port, providing a range of pop-up retail concepts, casual dining options to international visitors and the local community.
